I know i’m about a month late to make a new years resolution, but it’s still 11 months to go and the blog is new, so i have to set me some goals. I won’t set too many goals, neither will i aim very high. So, my blogging goals for 2009 are:
1. To get 100.000 blog visits
Since this is a new blog on a new domain, i will have to work hard(er) to get traffic, cause older domains just tend to rank higher on search engines. Anyway, to get 100.000 visitors, that means roughly an average of 300 a day. But i will probably get close to zero traffic at the beginning, that means i’ll have to get much more by the end of the year.
2. To post at least 3 blog posts a week
This one is completely up to me and the easiest to achieve. Why do i even set this goal? To keep myself active and posting, you know, i can get lazy sometimes.
3. To make some money with the blog
With that i mean enough to pay for the hosting, but anything more would be appreciated.
4. Get 100 RSS subscribers
Well, i don’t really know how high i should aim with this, but getting 100 shouldn’t be too hard, i hope.
5. Get 1000 Twitter followers
Like with RSS, i have no idea how hard this is to get, since i am new to Twitter. But as i see it, it’s much easier getting Twitter followers than RSS subscribers, since most of the people follow you back. I will not mass follow people, cause that is just lame – i see it as a spam, too.
These are the goals i’m setting for the coming year. Hopefully at the end of the year, when i look back, i will be able to say that i achieved and surpassed that.
