As a blogger you sure want your blog posts to rank high in search engine results. But obtaining a high page rank isn’t something that happens overnight. Actually it can be quite time consuming. Today, I will share with you a few simple Search Engine Optimization tips that don’t take much time, but will help with rank your blog higher.

Content

To have unique and frequently updated content on your blog will increase your blog SEO. Obviously, the content should consist of quality posts. Quality content that helps people will quite often convince a reader to share it with others, which is a natural way to get backlinks to your blog.

Keywords

Try to anticipate what people will be searching for. If you want Google to rank you for a term or phrase you need to use that term or phrase. Use it in the titles, in the post, and in meta tags. Don’t go over the line, but do use the words where you can naturally in the post. In Thesis theme, you can easily set meta keywords for every post.

Links

Links from other sites to yours are key in SEO, but achieving that is a time consuming job. Commenting on blogs that have do-follow tags in comments is one easy way to get some backlinks for a start. You can find some at DoFollow blog directory. Internal linking is also important, and linking back to one of your old blog posts is the very least you can do to improve your blog SEO. Linking out helps too. Try to link to one relevant site in every post.

That’s about the minimum you can do to increase you blog SEO.
